The State of Healthcare Call Centers: What the Data Says
Watch Now >>June 3, 2026
For most companies, AI has collided with day-to-day employee life in more ways than one. As with any popular technology, there’s a rush to deploy the latest & greatest for fear of being left behind, but the investment in the technology itself isn’t always matched by investments in training and change management. In fact, in a recent article published by Communications of the ACM, Investing in Workers to Work with AI, a Deloitte survey is referenced to drive home that only “7% of AI investments are being made in people and training, while 93% is being spent on technology.”
That kind of imbalance is a problem. What good are AI tools if people don’t know how to use them? The potential seems endless, but you’ll never get there if employees are stuck at square one spinning their wheels.
To head off that kind of experience, PerfectServe’s VP of AI Laura Suarez has spearheaded efforts to shepherd the company into this new era with a focus on finding the right tools, providing training and support to make sure they’re fully utilized, and tracking progress so we can point to successful outcomes and build momentum.
Laura spoke to Communications of the ACM for the same article to describe PerfectServe’s AI strategy and how employees are using these tools to help themselves and the customers we serve. You can read the full article here.
