As the Vice President of Strategy and Chief Clinical Officer, Michelle McCleerey, PhD, MA, MEd, MBA, RN, provides strategic guidance on the evolving healthcare landscape to inform the development of solutions that meet the needs and challenges of healthcare providers. McCleerey brings more than a decade of experience in creating innovative, user-centered healthcare technologies. Her clinical experience in hospitals provides her with the first-hand insights needed to create technologies that support clinician workflow, instead of requiring clinicians to adapt to technology.
Prior to joining PerfectServe, McCleerey led the office of strategy at TeleTracking Technologies, where she developed and implemented strategic plans based on market insights and improved user experience in technology products. Previously, McCleerey served in a variety of leadership positions within Hill-Rom Corporation, including the director of early innovation, where she received the President’s 2013 Innovation Award for her work in addition to six patents for user-centered designs. As the director of marketing and strategy at the Hill-Rom Corporation, McCleerey developed product concept and designs to meet the critical needs of the healthcare market as well as corporate financial objectives.
Beyond her clinical and professional experience, McCleerey has a master’s degree in business administration from Indiana Wesleyan University, a doctorate and master’s degree in human factors from the University of South Dakota, a master’s degree in education from South Dakota State University, and a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Augustana College.
