Our Technology
The PerfectServe Platform
PerfectServe is an advanced communications technology platform. At its heart lies a powerful rules engine which processes calls and messages based upon digital protocols customized to the individual workflow needs of physicians, their practices, and the hospital departments that need to contact them.
Process flow algorithms ensure that each protocol is both complete and unambiguous — resulting in a system capable of processing millions of voice and data interactions per day without error.
Architecture
Our platform employs open-standards based systems and technologies hosted out of a highly secure data center engineered to eliminate all single points of failure, ensuring that service is always available.
- Telecommunications services are deployed via fault-tolerant fiber ring that eliminate disruption of the "last-mile" weakest link.
- All servers are deployed in an N+1 or automatic fail-over architecture with RAID disk volumes to protect data from drive failures.
- Dual power supplies in all critical servers, switches and drive arrays are connected to unique and dedicated UPS feeds and circuits — while automatic backup power generator services enable the facility to continue to operate in a total power blackout.
- Our facility is environmentally secure; with access limited to authorized personnel only. We also employ redundant climate control systems and fire protection through an Inergan clean agent fire control system.
PerfectServe’s current 12-month system availability and uptime performance exceeds 99.999 percent.
PerfectServe is a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner with in-depth access to existing and emerging technologies, direct priority support, and related training resources to ensure our people have the knowledge to engineer and provision the best patient care communication solutions possible.
Security and HIPAA Compliance
HIPAA compliance is provided and maintained through a robust set of access controls. We authenticate the identity of anyone accessing client information and all activity is audited through extensive logging. Information confidentiality is ensured through network security and encryption.
Redundant firewalls, intrusion detection and a variety of anti-virus software protect our entire network and sensitive client and patient information from the outside world.
We maintain and exercise formal data backup and disaster recovery plans — with backups rotated off-site to a secure, third-party data vault.
Finally, redundant diagnostic systems monitor the health of components in the PerfectServe platform through applications that notify dedicated network operations personnel of any and all unexpected application errors. Support staff are on-site 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week, 365 days-a-year.
