PerfectServe has in place fail-safe backups — including automatically triggered escalating notification procedures — that help make certain no message falls through the cracks. And so far they've worked flawlessly. I haven't lost a message yet.
PerfectServe allows our patients to speak with the physicians directly, eliminating the potential for human errors such as incorrect phone numbers, or bad judgment in relaying symptoms.
With PerfectServe, I am able to control the way I want to be reached. When I'm at home, I like to take calls on my home phone. But when I leave, I will switch to my cell phone. PerfectServe makes the transfer very easy — no waiting on hold to inform an operator, no worries about whether the operator will remember the latest change. I make the change myself — pressing a few buttons from any phone, or via any Web-equipped PC — and it's reflected immediately in the way PerfectServe routes my calls. It's very easy, and totally reliable.
Would I recommend PerfectServe? Absolutely. Without hesitation. Any medical practice that would like to get control of their answering service situation should give serious consideration to PerfectServe. I haven't heard of anything else that even approaches the accuracy and flexibility they offer.

Our physicians prefer to be notified by pager when there is a message. Then they call in and retrieve the message. But sometimes, the pager tower doesn't send the message notification — or sometimes the message notification is delayed. When that happens, we rely on PerfectServe to escalate. When they see a message has not been retrieved, they'll send another page — or call a cell phone, or a land line. Eventually, if the message is still not retrieved, they'll contact a secondary on-call physician. The point is, with PerfectServe, the patient is always protected. No messages are lost — ever.
Our PerfectServe system asks patients to confirm the phone number where they can be reached. This is a huge step forward because it eliminates us having to search for phone numbers for patients who would forget to leave their numbers in their messages. That happened all the time before.
Plus, it allows our physicians can call back just by punching a button — no more scribbling down numbers in the dark, no more mistaking a '4' for a '9.' That feature alone is worth the price of the service.
Our PerfectServe system allows other physicians and hospital personnel to bypass the patient prompts so they can get straight through to the doctor on call. We like the fact that you can incorporate different call-flows for different callers.
