The American College of Surgeons (ACS) is the leader in trauma system development and is regarded as setting the gold standard for trauma care. Streamlined, effective communication is essential to the development of the trauma care system.

Through PerfectServe, the system of trauma team alerts is failsafe, accurate, reliable and efficient. The alert process enables hospitals to contact the on-call trauma surgeon in real time by dialing a single phone number. When real-time contact is not possible, PerfectServe takes messages and sends alerts to one or more wireless devices and/or telephone locations. Alerts continue until message retrieval is confirmed.

The entire trauma alert process is documented and reports are forwarded to appropriate department personnel on a scheduled basis. In this way, trauma alert performance is always available for review and comparison to ACS industry standards.
