March 17, 2010
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — PerfectServe, the premier provider of voice, online and mobile clinician-to-clinician communications, has named Farragut, Tenn., resident Don Den Uyl director of product development. He will assume responsibility for the design and development of the PerfectServe client platform, as well as the company’s internal management applications. PerfectServe’s intelligent communications systems eliminate the errors, delays and miscommunications that increase risks and decrease physician satisfaction. Den Uyl was previously vice president of engineering at Previstar, Inc., where he was responsible for all aspects of the systems development life cycle of a commercial off-the-shelf application (COTS) for the emergency management field used by the U.S. Navy in all continental U.S. bases. Den Uyl also managed the development, delivery and customer service of a SaaS application for emergency management planning and was the lead architect for the next generation of the product. Prior to his work at Previstar, Inc., he was the chief technology officer and application architect at Knoxville-based Diamond Systems, LLC. |

Den Uyl, 45, resides in Farragut, Tenn., and will be based in the company’s Knoxville headquarters. He holds a bachelor of science in electrical engineering from Tennessee Technical University in Cookeville, Tenn., and is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and the East Tennessee .Net Users Group.
About PerfectServe
PerfectServe is an intelligent clinical communications system that routes calls, messages and data to the right doctor, at the right time, while giving physicians complete control over how they are contacted. It enables hospitals to facilitate, expedite and manage clinician-to-clinician communications, which improves their coordination of care, reduces risks and increases physician satisfaction. By giving physicians, nurses and clinicians a better way to connect with each other, PerfectServe provides a practical solution for minimizing communication breakdowns, which the Joint Commission has identified as the single greatest contributing factor to sentinel events and delays in care in U.S. hospitals.
Based in Knoxville, Tenn., PerfectServe processes more than 30 million clinical communication interactions each year involving more than 14,000 physicians. A recent physician survey shows that 93 percent would recommend PerfectServe to their colleagues. For more information, visit www.perfectserve.com.
