Knoxville, Tenn. — PerfectServe, the premier provider of voice, online and mobile clinician-to-clinician communications, announced today that Jim Kozar has joined the firm as a Chicago-based account manager. In this role, Kozar is responsible for supporting PerfectServe’s hospital clients in the Chicago area during and after deploying the company’s intelligent communications system, which eliminates hospital errors and enables nurses and doctors to better coordinate care.

“As PerfectServe continues to expand in the Chicago area with Advocate Lutheran General and Advocate Good Shepherd Hospitals, we continue to strengthen our team responsible for providing support to our client hospitals, clinicians and their patients,” said Terry Edwards, chief executive officer of PerfectServe. “Jims’s background includes both health care technology and project management, experience that will serve him well in his new role as account manager. We are very pleased that he has joined the PerfectServe team.”

Kozar, 36, comes to PerfectServe from RelayHealth (now owned by McKesson) as a technical project manager. In this role, he worked on testing, deployment, and account management aspects of their products, which center on web-based communications between patients, physicians, and hospitals.

Earlier in his career, Kozar worked for Allscripts and focused on the implementation and business development of their medication management software. He has also worked on the customer side of the healthcare IT business, having served as an application analyst for Central DuPage Health Systems.

Kozar has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from St. Norbert College in DePere, Wis., where he also played on the school’s hockey team.
