Before working at the University of Colorado Denver and Health Sciences Center, Guthrie worked at Premier, Inc. While at Premier, he was involved in patient safety programs, Premier Practice Management, Inc., and supply chain solutions pertaining to clinical preference value creation. From 1992 to 1996, Guthrie was president and chief executive officer of Good Samaritan Health System in San Jose, Calif. Guthrie has also worked at Penrose Hospital in various senior medical and administrative positions, including senior vice president and chief operating officer of the three hospital system. Guthrie received his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1972, master’s degree in business administration from the University of Colorado in 1985, and bachelor’s degree from Amherst College in 1968. |
